Your Life with Invisalign
Receiving Invisalign is easy, and using Invisalign is easy too!
You will receive Invisalign after a consultation with Dr. Adamson. She will determine if your orthodontic concerns are something that Invisalign can address.
During the consultation or at another appointment she will take digital or physical impressions of your smile. She will use the digital impressions to digitally create a series of aligners. A lab will then create the aligners.
Once you have your first set of aligners, you will wear it for at least 23 hours a day. You will switch to a new aligner around every two weeks, which is how your teeth actually move.
Who Is a Candidate for Invisalign?
We recommend Invisalign aligners for those who have mild to moderate orthodontic concerns. Invisalign can’t adjust a large malocclusion or severely crooked teeth, but it can straighten up your smile significantly.
Does Invisalign Hurt?
On the day-to-day, Invisalign does not affect your speech or hurt your mouth. It is designed to gently move your teeth into their new position.
